Happy New Year!
As we look back on 2016, our delicate coastal community was threatened with toxic algae outbreaks, severe beach erosion from the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew, and so many other ongoing issues. The beauty of water surrounds us. We need it to sustain life on our planet and life in our community. Yet, most of us take water for granted. We waste it, dispose of it recklessly, pollute it. We should cherish and protect it. Clean water is vital to our state, our health and our local economy.
As a community, let’s all be a little more conscious of the water and be better stewards of our environment- Life is Water!
“When the well is dry, we know the worth of water.” – Ben Franklin
In this issue, we hope you enjoy our other “native” residents that call Florida home too. It’s up to us to help them thrive and survive. We packed this issue with beautiful nature photography by Edward Perry and Zach Levitetz, our guest photographers. Follow your passion! You’ll be inspired! These two guys just crave spending time in the great outdoors.
“The earth has music for those who listen.” – Shakespeare
