Editor | Owner
Penny Tranchilla is the owner of Vero Beach Portfolio Magazine located in Vero Beach, Florida. In addition to being the owner, she is also the editor, writer, creative, photographer at times, sales and delivery person. In a nutshell, she wears many hats and loves every aspect of it. Penny has a true passion for living. She loves being outdoors in the Florida sunshine more than anything. She enjoys paddleboarding and boating with her family. Traveling is one of her favorite things to do. Exploring this big blue planet brings her great joy. Most of Penny’s career was in law. She was a paralegal in Orlando for more than 15 years. After that, she worked for several local publications in the Orlando area as a sales rep. People often say Penny is a connector, her greatest happiness is helping others. As a native Floridian, her family vacationed on the Treasure Coast, diving and boating long before they called this area home. Penny and her husband, Frank, are both advanced scuba divers and love exploring the underwater world. Upon moving to Vero Beach in 2012, she decided her next career move was to start her own publication. She saw a need to create a truly inspiring lifestyle publication that encompasses all the amazing beauty that surrounds us. Most people don’t even know or see what there is to do right here in their own paradise. She publishes six times per year, and she has been creating stories every issue for more than five years now. In addition to owning and running her own publication, she also gives back to the community. Her favorite early morning pastime is spending time on the beach at sunrise monitoring and rescuing our local sea turtles. Penny has been a sea turtle volunteer for three+ years now and sits on the board of Coastal Connections and Florida Conservancy. She is also a volunteer with Florida Fish & Wildlife assisting with manatee rescues locally. Penny’s passion for life took on a whole new meaning when she faced breast cancer in 2014. She now assists others facing the same challenge in a positive and reassuring way. To Penny, life is all about perspective. If you choose to think life is beautiful, it is, no matter what comes your way!

Photographer | Adventurer
Adventure means something different to each and every one of us. Some of us find adventure is participation of adrenaline-pumped activities, whilst for some of us, adventure is found when we push ourselves beyond our comfort zone.
Living life is an extraordinary thing to do especially when it comes to having fun. There are so many different aspects of life to look forward too. Believe it or not, you can turn life into a great adventure that can be shared! Sometimes some of your best life memories can be created through fun.
" Life is about the journey we experience, not the the destination we end up."
